DAY 78 OF BIBLE READING IN ONE YEAR

We all need to have intimate relationship with God in order to make it in life, just like Moses, David and then Jesus. Let's take example from them towards having an intimate relationship with God.

To have intimate relationship with God, one has to study his word often so as to hear what he has to tell you from it; talk to him in prayers with the sincerity of your heart. Read our Bible passages for today to find out more of how to have intimate relationship with God.

Prayer:
Father, teach me to have intimate relationship with you in Jesus' name I prayed, Amen!

DAY 63 OF BIBLE READING IN ONE YEAR

Numerous rules and laws were enacted for the people of God in today's Book of Leviticus. King David went through some of these trials and temptations as he not ought to have but still enjoyed God's favour for God's mercies endured forever. We can as well see the power of God raising us far above trials and temptations greater than we are and giving us outstanding victory over them all.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank you that your coming to die for my sins has made me to be your adopted child, I am no more under the curse of the law, thank you Jesus, Amen!

DAY 62 OF BIBLE READING IN ONE YEAR

Like our yesterday's Bible Reading taught us, we have access to God's presence now and not through the high priest. God can speak to us directly now and with the strength, peace, power and authority that come with his presence, we can face any challenge and also speak the good news of Christ to others with full authority and power.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank you for the authority, power, peace and strength that I receive in your presence, Amen!

DAY 61 OF BIBLE READING IN ONE YEAR

Aaron used to be the high priest through whom the people reached God. He intercedes both for himself and the people of God but what a great privilege we have now in Christ that we can directly relate to God anyhow and anyway we choose to, whether in prayer, the word, praise and worship, etc.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I so much appreciate the truth that your coming on the earth has availed me the opportunity of relating with the Almighty God, to you alone be all the glory, Amen!

DAY 60 OF BIBLE READING IN ONE YEAR

In the Old Testament Bible, the blood of animals were shed for a guilt offering as a penalty for sin but on a temporary measure. Glory be to God that in Christ Jesus, the guilt offering has been fully paid once and for all, meaning that the forgiveness of sin is now only through Jesus.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, grant me the grace to always call out to you for help like the blind Bartimaeus did, Amen!

DAY 59 OF BIBLE READING IN ONE YEAR

God is rich in mercy, no wonder the Bible tells us also that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us for all have sinned and come short of God's glory.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank you for your endless mercies towards me, help me not to continue to live in sin that your grace may abound, Amen!

DAY 58 OF BIBLE READING IN ONE YEAR

In our Bible passages for today, we can see that Holiness is the key towards living a fulfilled life in Christ Jesus, for without Holiness we can't see God both in the spiritual and physical consciousness and that is the only way to show appreciation to God for sending his only begotten son, Jesus, to die on the cross of Calvary in order for our sins to be wiped away.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, give me the grace to make living a Holy life my day to day habit, Amen!

DAY 57 OF BIBLE READING IN ONE YEAR

The cloud which represents the presence of God in the Old Testament Bible as the people of God journeyed to the promised land was so strong and mighty in revealing his glory to the people.

One of the ways to experience God's glory at all times is by constant worship and praise of his name. When you do that, he comes down to inhabit the praise in his majestic glory.

Jesus reflected God's glory when he healed the boy in our Bible passage for today in Mark just by laying on of his hands on him and he has promised those that believe in him that they would do greater works than he did, if only they would believe.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, help me to reflect your glory also, so as to make impact to the world around me, Amen!

DAY 56 OF BIBLE READING IN ONE MONTH

God filled Bezalel with his Spirit, gave him skill and know-how including making him specialist in all kinds of craft to create designs. He obeyed God by allowing Him to use him in building the tabernacle.

By the wisdom of God upon Bezalel, he was able to manage the tabernacle project judiciously, without wastages recorded and I guess he equally delivered the project on time for God was with him.

In line with Jesus' teaching, Bezalel sold out himself to the service of God.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, help me to always do what God instructs me to do,whether from the Bible or words from the altar, Amen!

DAY 54 OF BIBLE READING IN ONE YEAR

In his presence there is fullness of joy, Psalms 16:11; also, glory and honour are in God's presence, 1 Corinthians 16:27.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I long for your presence more than anything else in my life, I also want to hear your guidance and your word just like it was the case between you and Moses, so help me God, Amen!

DAY 53 OF BIBLE READING IN ONE YEAR

We can see how that Aaron heeded the advice of the people and carved a golden calf for them to worship as the Almighty God for the people were so impatient of waiting for Moses to return from the presence of God and let's thank God for Moses who pleaded on their behalf and saved them from the wrath of God.

God's people forgot so quickly how God led them out of the land of Egypt and parted the Red Sea for them to cross over, they couldn't wait for God's leading again.

Just like Jesus fed the 5,000 people who came to hear him, God was still feeding his people, he never allowed them to lack any good thing and yet, they were very impatient of God, not paying full attention to all he had done for them in the past and even in the then present by only his mighty hand.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, give me the grace not to take your doings in my life for granted, Amen!

DAY 52 OF BIBLE READING IN ONE YEAR

All our passages for today has a central focal point, which is togetherness. Togetherness in terms of marriage between a husband and a wife, friendship and in mission accomplishments.

It is often said that two good heads are better than one or a cord of three strands cannot be easily broken, but did you observe that in all these passages, what bond this togetherness is love. So for anyone who wants to go into marriage, know it that the only marriage recognized both in heaven and on earth is that between a man and a woman and not between a man and a man or a woman and a woman.

The Bible is so clear about this, also bear in mind that marriage is meant to be enjoyed and not to be endured. This means, that you have to be careful when trying to choose your partner, so as to avoid any struggles or endurance in your marriage.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank you for the peace and serenity I enjoy in my marriage, please restore same to every home that is experiencing crisis right now, Amen!

DAY 51 OF BIBLE READING IN ONE YEAR

In the Old Testament Bible, even the Priest was not permitted to enter the Holy of the Holiest but praise God that in this time of the New Testament Bible, through the shedding of the blood of Jesus, it's very possible for us to reach our Heavenly Father directly.

But all these can be possible, according to the Psalmist only when our hands are clean and our hearts pure, for without holiness we cannot see God.

Is your sins stinking and embarrassing as that of that woman with the issue of blood? According to Papa Oyedepo, "you can't be shameful of what is gainful". So, why not swallow every shame like that woman did and embrace Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I come before you, to plead for your Mercy. Forgive my sins and let me be holy again to the point that I can come to the Father without shame, Amen!

DAY 50 OF BIBLE READING IN ONE YEAR

Psalms 23
Mark 4:30-41
Mark 5:1-20

Psalms 23 has covered all the explanation needed to be made in relation to the rest of our passages for today. Therefore, read it with so much concentration to grab even a word from it.

Psalm 23 King James Version (KJV)

23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I thank you for being my Shepherd because I can be sure not to want any good thing I desire, Amen!

DAY 49 OF BIBLE READING IN ONE YEAR

The blood of the covenant was used to seal every agreement made between God and his people in the Old Testament, that is, by shedding the blood of animals but the good news in this New Testament Bible is that Jesus Christ our Saviour has done all those for us and delivered victory to us. It is just for us to hear, read, meditate and put to action his words and we shall be saved.

It's as simple as that by the inspiration of the Holy Ghost. And once you've received the word, why not? Go out there and reach out to others for them also to be saved.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, empower me to become your active disciple, thereby turning many to Christ and into the Kingdom, Amen!
