THE LIGHT OF CHRISTMAS

Christmas is a celebration of the incarnation of Jesus Christ, the eternal Word who became flesh and made his dwelling among us. This miracle of God's humbly taking on human form signifies His intimate involvement in the human experience. 

As we celebrate Christmas, we are invited to witness His glory, as it shines in the simplicity of the nativity scene and the profound impact of His redemptive work. The incarnation reveals Jesus as full of grace and truth, foreshadowing the sacrificial grace displayed on the cross. 

As recipients of these virtues, we are called to embody these virtues in our lives, reflecting the character of the Christ we celebrate. Isaiah 9:6; Luke 2; Matthew 1:21; John 3:16.

HIS UNCHANGING FAITHFULNESS

Hebrews 13:8 affirms the unchanging nature of Jesus Christ. It assures us of the foundation of our faith, a pattern of compassion, justice, and commitment. In our present moments, we find solace in His enduring presence, His teachings remain relevant, His grace abundant, and His love unwavering. 

The eternal truth echoes through the ages, offering hope for the future. As we contemplate Hebrews 13:8, we can take comfort in His immutability, trust, hope, and live with confidence. His unchanging faithfulness inspires bold faith and a life with confidence.

REPENT FROM EVIL!

This verse is a warning against the dangers of wickedness and the harm it can cause. It reminds us that those who engage in evil deeds are never at peace and are always restless. They are consumed by their own desires and will stop at nothing to achieve their goals, even if it means causing others to stumble. The good news is that they can never succeed over us because the Lord is the shield and shelter for the righteous. 

As Christians, we must strive to live a life that is pleasing to God and avoid the temptation of wickedness. We must be vigilant and guard our hearts against the influence of evil. We must also pray for those who are lost and consumed by their own desires, that they may repent from doing evil and turn to Christ Jesus, that way they will find peace in Christ.

Let us pray: Heavenly Father, we thank you for your word and the wisdom it provides. Help us to live a life that is pleasing to you and avoid the temptation of wickedness. We pray for those who are lost and consumed by their own evil desires, that they repent and find peace in Christ. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
