Paul's ministry caused such a stir that it threatened the local economy tied to the worship of Artemis, resulting in a riot. Yet, through it all, God’s sovereignty is evident as the town clerk calms the crowd, and Paul’s mission continues.

1 Kings 22 narrates the story of King Ahab and the prophet Micaiah. Despite Micaiah’s warning, Ahab chooses to listen to false prophets and meets his downfall in battle. This chapter underscores the importance of seeking and heeding God's true counsel rather than what merely pleases us. Ahab’s refusal to listen to God’s prophet ultimately leads to his death, demonstrating the fatal consequences of ignoring divine wisdom and guidance.

1 Kings 3:16-28 recounts Solomon’s wise judgment between two women claiming to be the mother of a child. Solomon’s request for a sword to divide the baby reveals the true mother, who would rather give up her child than see him harmed. 1 Kings 4 outlines Solomon’s officials and governors, and the prosperity of his reign. Solomon’s wisdom and understanding bring peace and stability to Israel, fulfilling God’s promise. This chapter shows how God’s wisdom leads to effective and prosperous leadership.
