WALKING CLOSELY WITH GOD

REJOICE ALWAYS!

PRAISE HIM IN HIS SANCTUARY

Psalm 150:1 is a call to praise the Lord in His sanctuary and in the firmament of His power. The psalmist is calling us to express the excellence, beauty, and greatness of the true God and no one else. The takeaway: Above all and above all things, praise the Lord!

In this psalm, we are given five reasons to praise God:

1. Praise God because of who He is.

2. Praise God because of where He is.

3. Praise God because He acts in history.

4. Praise God with instruments.

5. Praise God with your voice.

The purpose of worshipping Him in the sanctuary is to declare that God is worth our worship. Man is not meant to be worshipped, but God is because He is unique above us. Heaven is not just up. Heaven is bigger than Earth. We live in a universe of God’s making. But God lives beyond the universe. He lives beyond. As a result, he knows more and is more powerful than we are.

Praising the Lord is not some kind of casual, meaningless activity. There is power in praise. Psalm 150 ends the Psalter with a call to praise. The word praise is repeated thirteen times in six verses.

What a good thing that today is another Sunday. Let therefore go His sanctuary and praise Him.

APPROACHING GOD?

This verse reminds us that God is sovereign over all creation. He controls the weather and the seasons, and His power is beyond our comprehension. We should approach Him with reverence and awe, recognising His greatness and majesty.

Job 37:22 also encourages us to recognise God's power and majesty in all things. May we approach Him with reverence and awe, trusting in His sovereignty over all creation. Amen. 

LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS

This verse reminds us that we should live our lives in such a way that others can see the good works we do and give glory to God.

A NOBLE GOAL

1. Confess your sins: Confession of sin glorifies God because it shows that we take responsibility for our actions and seek forgiveness.

2. Bear fruit: Jesus said, "My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit". Bearing fruit means living a life of good works that reflects God's love and character.

3. Give praise to God: Psalm 50:23 says, "He who offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving honors Me." Praise honors God and reminds us of His goodness and faithfulness.

4. Be content: Being content with what we have is a way to honor God and show gratitude for His provision.

5. Pray according to God's will: Praying according to God's will shows that we trust in His plan for our lives and seek His guidance.

6. Proclaim God's word: Sharing the gospel with others is a powerful way to bring honor and glory to God's name. 

7. Lead others to Christ: Leading others to Christ is the ultimate way to bring honor and glory to God's name. It shows that we care about others and want them to experience the love and grace of God.

THE SOURCE OF ALL BLESSINGS

TRUST IN GOD'S PLAN...

God has a plan for each of our lives, as we've been reminded by the Bible passage for today. He knows us intimately and has a purpose for us even before we are born.

We're therefore to trust in God's plan for our lives. We should not be afraid to step out in faith and follow His calling, even if it seems difficult or impossible. We should remember that God equips those whom He calls, and He will give us the strength and wisdom we need to fulfil His purpose.

Thank you, God, for having a plan for our lives, and help us to trust in You and follow Your calling with faith and courage.

TRUST IN GOD'S GUIDANCE

BOWING DOWN...

Ultimately, the pursuit of wisdom is a lifelong journey that requires patience, humility, and an open mind. As we continue on this journey, let us remember the words of Proverbs 1:5 and strive to hear, learn, and understand more each day from God's word

TAKING RESPONSIBILITY...
