Drawing Near to a Holy God

Leviticus 3:16 is the Bible verse of the day
Dearly Beloved,

Day 35: Chronological Bible Story in One Year Plan

Opening Scene

The glory still fills the Tabernacle. God has come near—but how can imperfect people approach a holy God? From within the cloud of His presence, God speaks again, providing a way.

The Story Unfolds

In Leviticus 1, God introduces the burnt offering. The entire sacrifice is consumed on the altar, symbolizing total surrender. It teaches that approaching God begins with giving Him all.

In Leviticus 2, the grain offering follows. Made of fine flour, oil, and frankincense, it represents gratitude and dedication of daily labor. No blood is shed here—only thanksgiving and devotion.

In Leviticus 3, the fellowship (peace) offering is described. Unlike the burnt offering, parts are shared in a communal meal. God invites His people not just to surrender, but to enjoy peace and communion with Him.

Spiritual Insight

God desires relationship, not distance. Sacrifice opens the way, gratitude sustains it, and fellowship deepens it.

Life Application

Approach God daily with surrender, thanksgiving, and a desire for fellowship. True worship involves both reverence and intimacy.

Prayer

Holy God, thank You for inviting me into Your presence. I offer You my life, my work, and my gratitude. Draw me closer and teach me to walk in fellowship with You. Amen.

Challenge for the Day

Take time today to thank God for one area of provision in your life and dedicate that area back to Him in prayer.
