Pharaoh still resisted God's word of instruction to him through Moses, to let his people go, that they may serve him, despite all the signs shown him.
Pharaoh rather trusted in chariots and horses than in the name of the Lord God of Israel and that was why as we proceed in this Bible Reading, we would see how he was brought down and fallen.
Like Moses in the Old Testament Bible, Jesus has come in this New Testament Bible to save mankind from all their sins, sorrow and slavery.
