Folk! Hear what the Lord is saying to everyone who is experiencing any whispering campaign from persons madly jealous of him or her, or maybe slanders and evil reports have been raised against you. Or are you confronted right now with flattering lips and double-hearted people who are bragging to prevail over you with their idle and destructive tongues? Perhaps they have even let down your God by saying, 'Our lips are our own: Who's Lord over us?'
Just be consoled by God's overwhelming love for you. Call upon Him and allow Him to respond on your behalf. He can't allow His own to be defeated as long as you trust Him enough to handle the battle for you.
And for anyone indulging in this kind of ungodly attitude, it will be wise to desist, as God will surely arise and act on behalf of the victimized. God resists the proud and will always set His elect in the safety for which he or she yearns.
