Wisdom and Discernment

Proverbs 11:30 is the Bible verse of the day.
Beloved,

Day 133 of Bible in One Year Devotion:

As we continue our journey through the Bible in one year, we come across five powerful passages that remind us of the importance of wisdom and discernment.

In Proverbs 11:29-31, we are reminded that wisdom and discernment lead to a life of peace and prosperity, while foolishness leads to chaos and destruction.

In Proverbs 12:1-7, we learn that wisdom and knowledge are essential for living a virtuous and righteous life, and that foolishness and ignorance lead to sin and destruction.

In John 7:14-44, Jesus teaches us about the importance of seeking wisdom and discernment from God, rather than relying on human understanding and tradition.

In Judges 14 and 15, we see the story of Samson, who was given great strength and wisdom by God, but struggled with foolishness and lack of discernment, leading to his downfall.

Today, let us reflect on our own lives and seek wisdom and discernment from God. May we be like the righteous in Proverbs 11:30, bearing fruit that brings life and wisdom that captures souls. May we seek knowledge and understanding from God's word, and may we be guided by His wisdom and discernment in all we do.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your wisdom and discernment. Help us to seek You and Your guidance in all we do, and may we be wise and discerning in our words and actions. May we bear fruit that brings life and wisdom that captures souls, and may we always rely on Your understanding and knowledge. Amen.
