DAY 3 OF BIBLE READING IN ONE YEAR

The Book of Genesis 4:17-26:5-6, have shown us the benefit of walking with God. Enoch and Noah did walk with God and it benefited them greatly even unto their generation. Enoch walked with God so faithfully that when it was time for him to go to be with the Lord, he was simply taken away, yes, meaning that God honored him by not allowing him to die a natural death. The same with Noah, he was so faithful in his walk with God that God found him worthy to build the ‘safety boat’. The most significant thing in all these instances is that despite the evil happenings in their time, they still maintained faith in God; they didn’t allow themselves to be distracted or to be lured into sinning against God but strongly believed till the end that God who called them is able to save and deliver them. Note that, they lived in the same world with those at the time and yet kept faith in God and was not pressured nor enticed into joining the crowd to sin against God.

The Holy Bible urges us all to cry out to the Lord whenever sin/temptation comes knocking at our doorsteps, just like King David did according to Psalms Chapter 3, for salvation belongs to Him and His blessing is always upon His people. Our enemy, the devil knows this very well particularly, verse 8 and would strive hard to ensure that we deviate from our walk with God so that God will not be able to save and bless us since He abhors sin. But by His grace, we’re smarter than the devil’s scheming and tactics, Amen.

Hello people, there is also good news for us all in the Book of Matthew, part of our text for today, as we walk faithfully, steadily and persistently with God, he would cause us to ride upon our enemies, he will keep watching over us to tell us when to go, wait or take the next step. And when He eventually asks us to take that next step, we’re rest assured he has sent his Angels ahead of us to prepare the way for us for our smooth ride, just as in the case of John the Baptist and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Alleluia!

PRAYER OF SALVATION:
If you believe what the above passages have taught us, say this prayer sincerely from your heart;
LORD JESUS CHRIST; I thank you for creating me in your own image, help me in my daily walk with you, not to make you regret of making me in your own image, so help me God, Amen.
