Sealed by Covenant, Drawn into Glory

Exodus 24:7 is the Bible verse of the day
Dearly Beloved,

Day 28: Chronological Bible Story in One Year Plan

Opening Scene

The mountain still looms, wrapped in cloud and fire. God continues to speak—not only about who He is, but how His redeemed people are to live together. Every word draws Israel deeper into covenant life.

The Story Unfolds

In Exodus 2223, God lays out laws that protect life, property, and dignity. Justice is balanced with mercy, and God makes it clear that the vulnerable matter deeply to Him. He promises to send an angel ahead of Israel to guide and protect them on the journey to the Promised Land, calling them to obedience along the way.

In Exodus 24, the covenant is formally sealed. Moses reads the Book of the Covenant aloud, and the people respond with one voice: “We will do everything the LORD has said.” Blood is sprinkled as a sign of binding agreement. Then Moses, Aaron, and the elders ascend the mountain and behold the glory of God. Moses remains on the mountain for forty days and nights, waiting in God’s presence.

Spiritual Insight

God’s covenant is relational, not casual. Obedience flows from commitment, and God invites His people not only to hear His voice, but to dwell in His presence.

Life Application

Choose daily obedience as a response to God’s grace. Make space to wait in God’s presence, trusting that transformation happens there.

Prayer

Covenant-Keeping God, thank You for inviting me into relationship with You. Help me obey You not out of obligation, but love. Teach me to wait in Your presence and walk in Your ways. Amen.

Challenge for the Day

Set aside intentional quiet time today—no distractions—to listen, reflect, and renew your commitment to God.
