Day 25: Chronological Bible Story in One Year Plan
Opening Scene
Dust rises on the horizon. Pharaoh has changed his mind. Behind Israel roars the Egyptian army; ahead lies the Red Sea—wide, deep, and impossible. Panic spreads through the camp. Freedom seems about to end before it truly begins.
The Story Unfolds
In Exodus 14, God instructs Moses to stretch out his staff. The sea parts, forming walls of water on both sides. Israel walks through on dry ground—what stood as a barrier becomes a pathway. When the Egyptians pursue, the waters return, swallowing the enemy. The oppressors are defeated, and God’s power is undeniable.
In Exodus 15, praise erupts. Moses and the Israelites sing a victory song, declaring the LORD as a warrior. Miriam leads the women with tambourines and dancing. Yet, soon after celebration, the people encounter bitter waters at Marah. God turns bitterness into sweetness, reminding them that the journey of faith includes both triumph and testing.
Spiritual Insight
God makes a way where none seems possible. What threatens to destroy you can become the very place of your deliverance. Praise should follow victory—but trust must continue afterward.
Life Application
When you face impossible situations, stand still and trust God’s power. Do not forget His past miracles when new challenges arise. Let praise and faith shape your response.
Prayer
Mighty God, thank You for making a way through impossible situations. Teach me to trust You not only in victory, but also in moments of testing. Fill my heart with praise and unwavering faith. Amen.
Challenge for the Day
