As the Israelites journeyed to the promised land, God promised to rain down bread from heavy for them, yet the people refused to acknowledge the power of God to daily provide for them sufficiently. They still murmured and complained about Moses and Aaron of which was by implications against God.
Unlike the Israelites, who forgot so easily how that God by his mighty strength and power delivered them from the hand of Pharaoh, David constantly engaged God in praise and worship for his mighty strength and power to deliver him from his enemies. He even steadily put all his confidence in God's right hand.
The women who went to Jesus' tomb were even able to experience the presence of the risen Jesus and worshipped him as God but the Israelites even as God was with them in the form of a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night, they refused to accord Him that full confidence that He deserved.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, give me the grace not to take God's provisions, presence and power over me for granted Amen!
