DAY 43 OF BIBLE READING IN ONE YEAR

God used the blood of a Lamb without blemish to protect the people of Israel from his judgment at that time of the initial Passover, in the Old Testament. The blood of the Lamb was sacrificed and wherever the blood was seen on the door frames of a house, the inhabitant was preserved.

David enjoyed the salvation of the Lord as the people of God did at the Passover and now, we believers in Christ because he trusted in the Lord. Through the mercy of Christ he was not moved for God was with him.

Much more than the blood of the Lamb shed in the Old Testament was the blood of the Lamb in the New Testament age called Jesus Christ. Jesus was sacrificed for us to be sanctified of our sins permanently and not for a while if we do not go back sinning again.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I thank you for your willingness to sacrifice yourself on the Cross for the whole world to be saved, including a sinner like me, Amen!
