Day 67: Chronological Bible Story in One Year Plan
Opening Scene
The nation stands on the edge of promise. Moses’ voice carries both urgency and hope. Before them lie two paths—one leading to blessing and life, the other to hardship and loss. God does not hide the consequences. The choice is clear.
The Story Unfolds
In Deuteronomy 28, Moses declares powerful blessings for obedience. If Israel listens to the voice of the LORD, they will be blessed in their cities and fields, in their families and harvests. Their enemies will flee, and their land will prosper. But the chapter also contains a sobering warning: if they turn away, curses will follow—confusion, hardship, and exile. The same covenant that promises blessing also demands faithfulness.
In Deuteronomy 29, Moses renews the covenant with the new generation. He reminds them of God’s mighty acts in Egypt and throughout the wilderness. The lesson is simple: they have seen God’s faithfulness with their own eyes. Their commitment must now be wholehearted.
In Deuteronomy 30, hope shines again. Even if the people stray and face consequences, God promises restoration when they return to Him with sincere hearts. Then Moses gives one of the most powerful invitations in Scripture: Choose life.
