DAY 3 - LIVING JESUS’ LIFESTYLE EVERY DAY BY DAY THROUGH THE EYE OF THE HOLY BIBLE IN ONE YEAR

The Book of Genesis 4:17-26:5-6, have shown us the benefit of walking with God. Enoch and Noah did walk with God and it benefited them greatly even unto their generation. Enoch walked with God so faithfully that when it was time for him to go to be with the Lord, he was simply taken away, yes, meaning that God honored him by not allowing him to die a natural death. The same with Noah, he was so faithful in his walk with God that God found him worthy to build the ‘safety boat’. The most significant thing in all these instances is that despite the evil happenings in their time, they still maintained faith in God; they didn’t allow themselves to be distracted or to be lured into sinning against God but strongly believed till the end that God who called them is able to save and deliver them. Note that, they lived in the same world with those at the time and yet kept faith in God and was not pressured nor enticed into joining the crowd to sin against God.

The Holy Bible urges us all to cry out to the Lord whenever sin/temptation comes knocking at our doorsteps, just like King David did according to Psalms Chapter 3, for salvation belongs to Him and His blessing is always upon His people. Our enemy, the devil knows this very well particularly, verse 8 and would strive hard to ensure that we deviate from our walk with God so that God will not be able to save and bless us since He abhors sin. But by His grace, we’re smarter than the devil’s scheming and tactics, Amen.

Hello people, there is also good news for us all in the Book of Matthew, part of our text for today, as we walk faithfully, steadily and persistently with God, he would cause us to ride upon our enemies, he will keep watching over us to tell us when to go, wait or take the next step. And when He eventually asks us to take that next step, we’re rest assured he has sent his Angels ahead of us to prepare the way for us for our smooth ride, just as in the case of John the Baptist and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Alleluia!

PRAYER OF SALVATION:
If you believe what the above passages have taught us, say this prayer sincerely from your heart;
LORD JESUS CHRIST; I thank you for creating me in your own image, help me in my daily walk with you, not to make you regret of making me in your own image, so help me God, Amen.

DAY 2- LIVING JESUS’ LIFESTYLE EVERY DAY BY DAY THROUGH THE EYE OF THE HOLY BIBLE IN ONE YEAR

These Chapters we read in Genesis have shown us how man disobeyed God’s commandment by having wrong company at the time. No wonder the Bible tells us to flee from the devil, maybe mankind would have been better for it, if Eve had refused to hold talks with the devil. You can see how sin multiplies faster if not put under control by the help of the Holy Spirit, in these passages of the Bible, one sin led to another and to another, until Cain killed his brother, Abel.

But, thank God for these consoling words in Psalms 2, particularly, verse 12, which says, blessed are all those who seek refuge and put their trust in God. When we take our bearing from God, each day of our lives, we will never have to scamper for help from just anyone including the devil’ suggestions, no matter how huge the challenge might seem to us, Amen.

And here, the Holy Book of Matthew Chapter 2 further strengthened our hope in God by telling us how that Jesus was given birth to, thereby fulfilling all that was written in this regard concerning Him in the Old Testament, Alleluia. It also reassured us that our Saviour Jesus Christ actually came and is ever ready to save us from our sins whenever we open up to Him for forgiveness of our sins

PRAYER OF SALVATION:
If you believe what the above passages have taught us, say this prayer sincerely from your heart;
LORD JESUS CHRIST; I call on you to forgive me all my sins. I know in several ways and occasions I have left your commandments to doing otherwise. Please, my Darling Jesus Christ, forgive me, I promise to be conversing with you and you alone from henceforth, so help me God, Amen.

DAY 1 - LIVING JESUS' LIFESTYLE EVERY DAY BY DAY THROUGH THE EYE OF THE HOLY BIBLE IN ONE YEAR

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth, General. 1:1 and who was the apogee of all of these God creations? – Mankind of course. I think personally, that’s enough good news to mankind, that mankind was made in the image of God, meaning, mankind can create, think, see, reason, talk, etc. like God, Alleluia!

But, the key to accessing and sustaining our communion with God and having dominion over all other God’s creations is embedded in Psalms 1; that is, in standing in the way of the Righteous and not sinners. I am glad to let us know that Jesus Christ is that Righteousness of God, who both the Old and New Testament Bible talk about.

The Holy Book of Matthew, Chapter 1, tells us how that Jesus Christ is the completion and fulfillment of all that was written in the Old Testament, by briefly running through it in highlighting Jesus’ ancestral line.

Having known all these from these passages of the Bible, it will be so profitable to us all to begin this year 2020, with focusing on Jesus to complete our lives and our all for us, don’t you think so as well? For without Him we are not complete and will never ever be, Amen.

PRAYER OF SALVATION:
If you believe what the above passage has taught us, say this prayer sincerely from your heart;
LORD JESUS CHRIST; I believe that you came to complete and fulfill all that was recorded in the Holy Bible and that includes me, a sinner, who you came to die for, that my sins be forgiven and washed away by your precious blood. Today, even in this first day of the New Year, I hand over my all to you, take and complete my all for me; Amen.

WHO IS A TRUE STEWARD?

Dear brethren,

Biblical steward is one involved in any work in the household of God. Serving God in all kingdom sense of it. Ensuring that through your service, the kingdom of God is being populated daily, by evangelising and winning souls into the kingdom of God. By praying for the poor and needy... praying for your fellow stewards in the household of faith... and living out a Christ-like attitude and so on.

Having defined a steward, who then is a true steward? A true steward is one who is faithful to God's calling in his/her life. To be faithful means to be so devoted and or, dedicated to kingdom activities zealously. Keeping to your word, promises and vows. Being consistent in your allegiance to God and the things of His kingdom.

Secondly, a true steward serves in righteousness or holiness. If you are serving God carnally, with various burden of sins you have committed hanging on you and with you not being sincere in reconciling with Him through Christ! Just forget it, that service of yours is rather abhorrent to God. Our God is a righteous God and those who serve and worship Him must do that in truth and in Spirit. You cannot manoeuvre this truth, God cannot be mocked, neither is He a respecter of persons, for whatever a person sows that he shall reap, Galatians 6:7. Moreover, God does not delight in unholy sacrifices rather He accepts from us only what is right and just, Proverbs 21:3 (NIV).

Prayer: Father in the name of Jesus, help me to be a true steward who will serve you faithfully and righteously, Amen.

Remain blessed,

Your beloved,
Ifeoma

THE BIBLE AS A MANUAL...

Dear Brethren,

Whenever one buys any product, the manufacturer's manual is always included in the package delivered to the buyer. Have you ever wondered why it is so? The answer is right here; it is because it guides the purchaser as to how to use the said product to its maximum benefit. Your intelligence cannot surpass this one. Yes, you may know how to operate the product somehow but until you read the manual in between the lines  and understand how best it functions, the product cannot be put to its maximum use.

The same principle is also applied to the Scriptures. The Holy Bible is God's instructions for man's daily living. If you do not know what His word says concerning your situation, the devil will always have a free day in your life. The Holy Bible is now in both hard copies as well as in soft copies, you can easily download a copy and read for you to get information on what you have been instructed to do daily as a child of God.

Our God is a merciful God who had given us all what we need to maximise our lives here on earth, that is the reason, He says that He has set before you life and death, blessings and curses but you have been advised to choose life, so that you and your children may live, Deuteronomy 30:19.

Remain blessed,

PLEASE, AM I JUST ENOUGH?

Dear Brethren,

In case you have been struggling to get answer to this question, read what the Bible says concerning a just man or woman. You know that the Bible is our daily living manual, so let's try to explore Psalms 1:1, to have a knowledge of what it is to be just;

To be just is to walk not in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers. Someone may be asking again, does it mean, I have to chase away those my friends who are ungodly? No, that is not it. Rather, it means that you should not take any bad advice they give you like, telling you that remaining a virgin before marriage makes you a lay girl or telling you that any man who doesn't smoke nor chase after girls is not man enough, or telling you to go partying instead of going to His sanctuary or may be telling you to lie to your parents/sponsor in order to get more money from them or telling you to either give or receive bribe to achieve a fit or telling you to blackmail someone so as to tarnish the person's image. These are to mention but a few.

Don't take such advice because they will make you unjust and lead to destruction too. If you know that continuing with such a friend will keep you vulnerable to the prey of satan and probably you have tried your best to keep such a friend in the faith, yet no positive result forthcoming from such, then do well to flee from him/her. As you have read from the above Bible verse, bad company ruins good manner.

Remain blessed,

Your beloved sister,
Ifeoma

THE POWER OF PRIDE

Dear brethren,

Pride has cost so many a lot in life, including their marriages, careers, businesses and so on. Despite all these negative impact of pride, people still strive to overcome it. But the Scripture cannot be broken because of human's refusal to heed to God's instruction not to be proud. The Bible tells us that God opposes the proud, Jame 4:6. So, no matter how hard we pray, give or sing praises to God and yet still proud, He will not accept us as we are only merely engaging in spiritual exercise which cannot yield our expected results.

Are you in the habit of bragging on how you are going to undo someone? Or in a habit of praising yourself even after successfully carrying out a joint task with your team mates, by saying, "I did it", "instead of saying we did it"? Or do you always want everyone to know that you rendered help to someone else?  Just stop. These and more are acts of pride.

Here are just to mention but a few blessings that come to you when you obey God and humble yourself before Him. It makes one to prosper, gives happiness and offers healing. It prospers in the sense that, if one humbles himself enough to learn examples of other successful persons and applies the same in his life, makes that person prosper too. Likewise, happiness, one gains happiness by being humble enough to lean on God alone for help. It also offers healing because, when one is humble in heart, it is only pleasant words that proceed out of his mouth and according to Proverbs 16:18-27, pleasant words are healing to the bones.

Finally, the result of not obeying God is that He gives us over to the consequences of our own action (pride), which is destruction, Romans 1:24,26. (kudos to Nicky Gumbel)

Remain blessed,

Your beloved sister,
Ifeoma.
