Have you seen
from the above passages, what we mentioned earlier in this blog that sin multiplies,
if not put under control by the power of the Holy Ghost? It all started with
Shechem, the son of Hamor the Hivite raping Dinah and then Dinah’s brothers,
Simeon and Levi, deceiving Hamor and shechem his son into getting into circumcision
that all would be well thereafter. Yet after two days of their being
circumcised, Hamor, Shechem and the entire men in the city were all killed by
way of revenge, wow!
Jacob appeared
to have pleased God after commanding his entire household to put away their
gods and then made an altar unto God. God then appeared to him the second time
and blessed him, changed his name from Jacob to Israel. We see here how that after
Jacob and his household cleansed themselves off their sins; God blessed Jacob
and didn’t count the sin of his sons against him. Likewise us, whenever we
commit sin and run unto God for forgiveness, through the blood of Jesus, I can
assure you he will forgive us, he says a broken and a contrite heart he will
not despise.
He would not
stand afar off; neither will he hide himself to us, Psalms 10:1. For this is
the will of God for us Matthew 12:50. This is also the privilege of being in
existence now, seeing how that Jesus’ blood cleanses our sins because according
to Matthew 13:17, many prophets and righteous men in the old longed to see the
salvation of the Lord through the blood of Jesus Christ but didn’t have the privilege
we have now, thank you Jesus!
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank you for coming to die for my sins, I am
very grateful to you and your coming,, Amen.
