Joseph answered God's call to the fullest and no wonder God stayed put with him and gave him major breakthrough in Egypt. He was able to save the land of Egypt, secured all the land of Egypt to Pharaoh except that of the priests and above all, God used him to save the entire Israel from dying of starvation. In vs. 22 of Genesis 48, Israel blessed him exceedingly and gave him one portion of their inheritance above his brethren. This goes ahead to show us that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.
As Joseph was sent to save the entire land of Egypt, Israel and his households, much more was Jesus sent to save the entire world from all that afflict them, be it famine, sin, sorrow, sickness, diseases, etc. For this reason we saw Jesus rebuking Peter when he sensed he wanted to downcast him from doing the works of him who sent him. You know at this point Peter never had that understanding of Jesus' mission neither did he know that the man he's been a disciple to was the Elias they talked about that was meant to come to restore all things, vs. 11 of Matthew 17.
Joseph kept to the laws of the Lord, hence him finding favour and good understanding in the sight of God and men (Pharaoh, Egyptian people, Israel and so on), praise God!
