Job’s friends
didn’t understand that his suffering was simply a test rather than the sin they felt
he committed. Let’s not be quick in passing judgment at others as Job’s friends
did to him. If you don’t have any meaningful contribution to make just keep
quite or better still pray for the person, after all the Bible has admonished
us to pray for others including your enemies.
In all of these
trials, yet Job didn’t bear any grudges against God, nor allowed his heart to
bear grudges against God nor his mouth to speak against God neither did he allow
his feet to slip against God, Psalms 17:3.
We saw how Job
handled the issue of his wife asking him to speak against God and die. He didn’t
request for a divorce from his wife rather he chastised her and then probably
allowed God to take charge of the situation.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, give
me the grace to stay and maintain my walk with you despite any odds that might
come my way, Amen.
